ALC Red Shores, Renovation & Expansion - Charlottetown, PE

The Atlantic Lottery Corporation recently partnered with rcs construction for the renovation and rebranding of there existing restaurant at ALC Red Shores. It changed from Turf’s Bar & Grill to O’Brien’s Track Side Dining. This project included a total demolition of existing restaurant seating and kitchen area with the new kitchen area being equipped with state-of-the-art equipment.

The restaurant and bar were designed by mackaywong from Toronto. This was a very innovative and unique design, which included a knife edge lighting alcove with a green turf ceiling and a full accent wall mural featuring images from past championship harness racing. Also, as part of the project, the exterior patio was demolished, leveled-out, and received new finishes.

This project was Phase I of a multi-year renovation and addition project that rcs was lucky enough to be successful in the RFP for Phase II. This is a 10,000 square foot expansion to the existing casino. The existing casino will also be totally renovated. All exterior finishes will be re-vamped and there will be an addition of a porte-cache. The design for this will also be by mackaywong and will bring a little bit of Vegas-vibes to Charlottetown!
